Submission Guide for organisations

The public review into the 2022 NSW anti-protest laws is now open and closes 1 June. This is an important opportunity to advocate for our right to protest and continue the community pushback against these laws.


The NSW community has never before gotten an opportunity to have their say on the anti-protest laws – raising our voices now will show the government that protest matters to everyone, including unions, community organisations and individuals.

The Australian Democracy Network has produced a submission guide for the review. We are encouraging as many organisations as possible to put a submission in before 1 June, but also to encourage the communities you work with to make individual submissions. Please share and post this guide to maximise the number of submissions.

Submissions must be made in two parts - one addressing s144G of the Roads Act and one addressing s214A of the Crimes Act. The submission portals for each can be found here:
